It's here! One World One Heart Giveaway 2011.....
A bit about me:
I am Terry Spier and I create jewelry. Everything I make comes from my imagination and my belief that jewelry is art – to be worn, enjoyed and loved. I have spent years collecting beads from many cultures that I incorporate into my pieces. I handpick beads based on color, shape and texture, often finding unusual patterning in the stones that I enhance with the use of sterling silver and/or accent beads. My love of natural stone and color is represented by many of the gemstones I use. Sterling silver from Bali, Israel and Thailand complements the precious and semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, handmade ceramic and lampwork glass beads I use in my designs. I am committed to supporting local artisans and use their beads in my work as much as I can.
I am pleased to be involved with the One World One Heart Blogging event. Such a unique experience where bloggers from all over the world participate through their blogs. This is the 5th year of this amazing event and I have felt honored to be a part of this great experience for the past three years. It has given me the opportunity to make some great connections with other bloggers, some of whom I am still in contact with.
I feel like I am part of a huge, worldwide community of creative, interesting people who choose to share their art, life experience, and sorrows with the world. For me it creates a world that is more open, and connects me to people from all over the world. I love the feeling of community that comes from our shared blogging experiences.
The One World - One Heart Giveaway begins on January 30th and ends on February 17. How it works is that if you want a chance to win my donated piece of handmade jewelry, you need to leave a comment on this blog entry, including your email address so that I can inform you if you win. This giveaway is open to everyone who maintains a blog!
If you click the One World - One Heart title at the top of this post, you can learn more about this amazing venture. If you want to be involved and currently maintain a blog, you can also sign on by following the directions outlined by Lisa Swifka, the creative woman who started OWOH.
The giveaway will end on February 17th and the winner will be notified on the same day. I will use a random number generator to pick the winning number. This event is international and all can choose to be involved. I hope that you will go to the website to see the huge number of artists worldwide who are taking part in this venture. We are a vast community of artists, whose work is as varied as can be. Sign on by leaving a message for a chance to win the door prize and visit to sign up at as many participants as you like.
Now about the giveaway:
I call this necklace Banded Goddess!
It's a truly unique necklace of green fluorite beads, spaced with sterling silver and leading to an amazing handmade glass Goddess pendant that is quite striking. She is almost 2" long. This piece is 18 1/2" in length and finished with a sterling silver magnetic clasp. Just so you know, if you have a pacemaker you cannot wear magnetic jewelry.
If you are interested in winning this wonderful piece of jewelry, make sure you leave a comment on this post, and include your email address. Otherwise I have no way to let you know if you win.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Enjoy the ride.
Good luck!
Terry
